The Need for Tweed. . . and Plaid (section 2 of 7) We all want to add some tweed to our wardrobe, but we can’t have it all… shopping for that perfect tweed piece to add to your fall/winter wardrobe is a daunting task.  A skirt is a versatile and fun way to wear this season's hot fabric.  Check out three classic tweed and plaid skirts from some of my favorite designers - Petro Zillia, Tibi and Nanette Lepore: Nanette Lepore has outdone herself with the Gathered Wide Belted Skirt in a beautiful, rich plum plaid. This skirt is classic vogue; it uses this season’s styles, while holding its own for a totally unique look.  The plaid in this skirt is subtle, as is the hip pearl pin.  The shape of the skirt is flattering, with a wide belt and quiet flare at the bottom.  Wide fish-nets and a simple top are all this skirt needs to make it perfect for brunch, work, or a sassy dinner. The gorgeous olive color looks great with many of this season’s bold print blouses. The vibrant Cherry Tweed Flirt Skirt is just one of the great pieces Tibi brought to market this season.
