2004 has been a fabulous year for denim. With new brands like
James Jeans and more established brands like
Hudson and
Frankie B, we were treated to great styles that fit well and looked good.
Your options for winter are great; the look generally is a sexy distressed
jean, but the designers have done enough variations on that theme that
individual styles hail through. Take a look at these three pairs; each is
fashionable to a T-but are completely unique.
James Jeans takes the cake on the classic jean. Their 5-Pocket Bootleg
was an instant classic when it launched last spring and the most recent washes
in this cut are truly fabulous. Check out the
Dark Night and Medium Bennet washes to the right. Make sure to look
for the Retro Star, top selling Dark Sway and Cashmere Farr in early December.
Another big seller in 2004 was the
Hudson Triangle Flap jean. These jeans certainly kick it up a notch,
with a tighter fit, more pronounced distressing, and a sharper bottom hem. While
they can't double as gardening or construction-site jeans, but they will take
you out on the town with a bang. Make sure to check out the double button in the
front. The back, though, is where it's really happening for these jeans - the
triangle flap is a very cool twist to guard your treasures.
